Perez had announced that if he wins a new term, Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho will return to lead the team.
The announcement came via a video clip he posted on his official accounts, in which Mourinho appeared with only one word: “Yes” in Spanish, a clear indication of his agreement to return to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Perez chose to rely on the symbolic impact of this step, to gain the confidence of the fans again after a disappointing local season in which Real Madrid lost the league title and was eliminated from the Champions League in the quarter-finals for the second season in a row.
Riquelme bets on the two Manchester City stars

To confirm his insistence on causing a surprise on Sunday – the election date – by displaying a Merengue club shirt bearing Haaland’s name and a document allegedly signed by the Norwegian striker.
