Few defenses have been able to stop Isak Bjerkebo, 23.

But tomorrow’s meeting against AIK’s Mads Thychosen, 28, sees the shooting league leader as something extra.

– He is excited as hell, he says.

It is above all the Dane’s running capacity that impresses Bjerkebo.

– He runs at high speed both up and down, but he is also strong in the body. It will be incredibly fun to meet him. He is a very good player and these are the kinds of tasks you look forward to.

“Shouldn’t stand and pay tribute to each other”

The 28-year-old AIK defender smiles widely when he hears the opponent’s description of him after the “Gnaget’s” training on Friday.

– I also have a lot of respect for him and he is a good player. Now we shouldn’t just stand and pay tribute to each other, but if you lead the scoring league and have nine goals in nine games, you’re doing something right. My task is that he does not stand on one goal per game after tomorrow, says Thychosen.

At the same time, the Dane enters with confidence before the duel against Bjerkebo.

– I don’t think anything special about it. I have faced many good players in the Allsvenskan and every time you ask about a specific player, I think I did quite well.

Isak Bjerkebo, on the right.

Riveiro: “They have been almost unstoppable”

Instead, Thychosen focuses on the team as a whole.

– We would like to remove Sirius from their conversions because that is where they are best and they are very efficient there. We have respect for them because they are league leaders and have done something very well, but I think they have respect for us as well. It’s not easy for anyone to come to Strawberry and it shouldn’t be.

Sirius has also scored at least two goals per game in the Allsvenskan this season, which has not gone unnoticed by AIK coach José Riveiro.

– The numbers are there for a reason. They have been almost unstoppable. 25 points out of a possible 27 says a lot about them. They are well coached, organized and solid with a clear idea in every phase so we accept the challenge. It’s a good challenge before the summer break, he says and continues:

Mads Thychosen.

– It will be a difficult task for us, but it will also be a difficult task for them to succeed in this match. It will be an interesting match and regardless of who we face, we will try to perform as we did six days ago (in the derby win against Hammarby).

Kick-off for the match is 15.00.
