Ancelotti did not hide his disappointment with the team’s season, and admitted: “It was not a good season.”

In recent years, Ancelotti has emerged as one of the key figures capable of keeping Real Madrid’s dressing room united during the most difficult times.

When asked how he dealt with so many players with multiple personalities and built a championship-winning team, the coach explained his philosophy, saying: “As usual, I tried to build a relationship with the person and not with the player because in the end, you are a person. You are just a person who plays football. This is clear in my mind.”

He added: “Real Madrid needs time to rebuild.”

The Italian coach also commented on the generational transformation that Real Madrid is witnessing after the departure of legends such as Casemiro, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema, and Nacho Fernandez: “The older generation of players needs to rebuild. The team atmosphere was very important, and it came from these players who had a stronger personality, a stronger presence, and stronger leadership.”

He added: “Real Madrid needs time to rebuild that atmosphere that brought them all this success. It is not only about technical quality, but success also requires finding a good balance.”
