Arsenal has overcome a new obstacle in its campaign to regain the English Premier League title, which it has been absent since the 2003-2004 season, and is on the verge of crowning the prestigious title this season.
Arsenal achieved a valuable and deserved victory (1-0) over its host West Ham, on Sunday evening, in the 36th stage of the competition, in the London derby that took place between them at the Olympic Stadium.

Arsenal’s only goal came from its Belgian star, Leandro Trossard, in the 83rd minute, leading Spanish coach Mikel Arteta’s team to achieve its third consecutive victory in the competition, and strengthen its position at the top of the standings.
The match witnessed great excitement in the fourth minute of stoppage time, after the referee decided to cancel West Ham’s goal due to a foul on Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, who won three valuable points.
Arsenal, which achieved its 24th win in the tournament this season compared to 7 draws and 5 defeats, rose to 79 points at the top, with a 5-point difference in front of its closest rival, Manchester City, which still has a postponed match with Crystal Palace.
It is enough for Arsenal to win its remaining two matches in the competition, against its guest, Burnley, and its host, Crystal Palace, in order to win the title, regardless of the results of the rest of its competitors.
On the other hand, West Ham’s balance, which suffered its second loss in a row and 18th in the competition this season compared to 9 wins and 9 draws, stopped at 36 points in eighteenth place (third from the bottom), one point behind the safety positions.
