In light of this uncertainty, the Turkish club Galatasaray tried forcefully to sign the player through an ambitious offer.

According to several Turkish media outlets, Galatasaray offered the player a 3-year contract for approximately 50 million euros, with the aim of continuing the team’s development project, so that the player joins players such as Victor Osimhen, Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan.

This offer represents a significant financial commitment, although until now Bernardo Silva still places the move to Barcelona as a priority.

The end of an era of creativity

In the middle of last month, Manchester City announced the departure of Portuguese international Bernardo Silva from its ranks at the end of the current season, after a career that spanned nine years within the club’s walls.

The club statement said: “Manchester City confirms that Bernardo Silva will leave this summer,” adding that the player will focus on ending his time with the team in the best possible way, in light of the competition for the English Premier League and FA Cup titles.

The 31-year-old playmaker joined the team in 2017, and since then he has played 450 matches under the leadership of Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, during which he won 19 titles, including six English Premier League titles and the Champions League title.

For his part, Silva confirmed his departure on his Instagram account, where he wrote: “After a few months it will be time to say goodbye to the city where we have not only achieved so much as a club, but also where I started my married life and my family. From the bottom of my heart, Ines and Carlota, thank you!”

During his career with the club, Silva scored 76 goals and provided 77 assists. He also entered the list of the ten most participating players in the history of Manchester City, surpassing prominent names such as David Silva, Paul Bauer and Willy Donacki.
