Three Palestinians were martyred and 10 injured, including a serious condition, as a result of separate Israeli raids and attacks in Gaza, coinciding with the heads of major press organizations and agencies in the world calling on the occupation to lift the ban on foreign journalists entering the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources confirmed to Anadolu Agency that the bodies of three martyrs and one seriously injured person had arrived at Al-Saraya Field Hospital of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted a cart pulled by an animal near the Kuwait Roundabout in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood.

It indicated that the martyrs were Ahmed Brik Al-Mallahi (an elderly person), Etemad Ahmed Al-Mallahi (a woman), and Rani Salim Al-Ridawin, noting that the bombing led to the cessation of vehicle movement on Salah Al-Din Street, which connects the south and north of the sector from the eastern side.

Earlier Thursday, two Palestinians were injured as a result of being targeted by an Israeli drone in the Shujaiya area, while 7 Palestinians were injured, including 6 in the targeting of a group of citizens’ drone near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah, and another fisherman by Israeli gunboat fire off the northwestern coast of the city of Rafah.

A call to allow journalists to enter

In addition, the heads of major international bodies and press agencies in the world called on the Israeli occupation to allow foreign journalists to enter Gaza.

The executive directors of media bodies and agencies (including the BBC, CNN, MC Now, Reuters, the German News Agency, and the Washington Post) stated in a statement that presence on the site is necessary, allowing journalists to clarify narratives from all parties, speak directly with civilians, and report what they are witnessing directly.

Despite the ceasefire agreement in force since October 10, 2025, Tel Aviv continues to prevent journalists from entering Gaza since the beginning of its aggression against the Strip in October 2023.

The editors-in-chief of more than 22 organizations said that the Israeli government has not yet responded to their efforts to discuss the situation, wondering about the reasons for Israel’s continued imposition of these restrictions.

The Israeli occupation attributed the ban on foreign journalists from entering Gaza to the possibility of disclosing the locations of Israeli soldiers, endangering their lives, in addition to the fact that the Gaza Strip is an active and very dangerous combat zone.

Under tight control, Israel has from time to time allowed the entry of foreign journalists, but international bodies and press agencies demand freedom of movement in the production of journalistic materials in the Strip.

The military has allowed foreign journalists to enter from time to time on trips, under tight control, but media outlets want freedom of movement.

In response to the Israeli allegations, the editors-in-chief said that the intense fighting had ended, that there was a ceasefire and the prisoners had returned to their homes, and that the journalists did not pose a threat to the Israeli forces.

They pointed out that there is an existing mechanism – although it is restrictive – that allows the entry and exit of aid workers, so why are journalists not allowed to do so?

487 Palestinians were killed and injured within a month

In this context, the Gaza government announced that the Israeli occupation committed 377 violations of the ceasefire agreement during this April, resulting in the death of 111 Palestinians and the injury of 376 others.

She explained, in a statement, that the number of aid trucks that entered Gaza amounted to only 4,503 out of 18,000 trucks stipulated in the agreement, a percentage not exceeding 25%.

It indicated that the fuel sector witnessed a sharp decline, as 187 trucks entered during April out of 1,500 stipulated in the agreement, a rate not exceeding 12%, which exacerbated the humanitarian crisis and affected vital services, especially health, water, and energy.

The Gaza government considered that what was happening reflects a systematic disruption of the flow of aid and the deprivation of the civilian population of their basic needs, stressing that the indicators confirm the failure to implement the terms of the agreement and the continued procrastination, which undermines the calm and keeps the humanitarian situation deteriorating.

It called on the mediators and the international community to oblige Israel to implement all the terms of the agreement without selectivity, while accelerating the entry of aid and fuel, opening the crossings regularly, and enabling travel according to the understandings.

According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Israel has killed 824 Palestinians and wounded 2,316 others by bombing and shooting since the ceasefire agreement took effect more than 6 months ago.

While the toll of the Israeli genocide since October 2023, with American support, has reached 72,601 martyrs, and more than 172,000 wounded Palestinians, in addition to widespread destruction of citizens’ homes and infrastructure.
