12 people were killed and 49 wounded, within 24 hours, by Israeli occupation army attacks, according to what the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced, today, Tuesday, coinciding with US President Donald Trump’s request to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for “restraint” regarding the ceasefire in Lebanon.
The Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Health said in a statement that the total cumulative toll of the Israeli aggression from March 2 to April 27 amounted to 2,521 dead and 7,804 wounded.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz stated that the army destroyed underground “terrorist” infrastructure in Qantara in the new security zone in southern Lebanon, indicating that he had issued instructions to the army to destroy all “terrorist” infrastructure in this area up to the yellow line.
Katz explained that the Lebanese government and army pledged to disarm Hezbollah from the south, “and these are the results.”
Israeli media reported that 570 tons of explosives were used to blow up a tunnel and infrastructure in Qantara.
Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that Israeli aircraft raided the towns of Kafr Tibnit, Farouq, Al-Tiri, Al-Shihabiya, Joya, and Al-Bazouriyeh, while its forces bombed residential neighborhoods in the city of Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon.

“Restraint”
Israeli Channel 12 said, on Tuesday, that Trump urged Netanyahu to “exercise restraint and not jeopardize the ceasefire in Lebanon,” in a phone call yesterday evening, Monday, noting that Netanyahu briefed the small ministerial council.
The channel indicated that Netanyahu, who said on Monday that the ceasefire “allows Israel to respond to threats,” attempted during his call with Trump to expand the scope of the Israeli army’s freedom to operate in Lebanon, explaining that it is impossible without this to curb attacks on soldiers and fire on residential communities on the northern border.
She added that Trump insisted on the need for Israel to exercise restraint and not take any action that might jeopardize the ceasefire at the present time.
The channel reported that Trump is looking forward to sponsoring negotiations between Israel and Lebanon, hoping to expand the scope of the normalization agreements with Israel known as the Abraham Accords.
On the other hand, Hezbollah announced, in a statement on Tuesday, that its fighters targeted two gatherings of Israeli soldiers and an Israeli Merkava tank in the towns of Taybeh and Qantara in southern Lebanon, with two attack drones, in response to Israel’s violation of the ceasefire.
Bomb marches
In a previous statement, on Tuesday, the party said that its members targeted an Israeli military bulldozer while it was demolishing homes in the city of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, in response to Israel’s violation of the ceasefire.
For its part, the Israeli army reported that Hezbollah launched explosive drones that exploded near its forces in southern Lebanon. The army stated that sirens sounded in the Upper Galilee and in Misgav Am due to the interception of drones launched towards its forces in the region.
On April 17, Trump announced a truce in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah for a period of 10 days, subject to renewal, before announcing, last Thursday, its extension for an additional 3 weeks.
Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement continue by carrying out air strikes and artillery shelling in areas in the south and the Bekaa, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries.
