Four people were killed, including a woman, and 51 others were injured yesterday, Monday, in Israeli raids on various areas of southern Lebanon, while two Israeli soldiers were injured as a result of the fall of a bomb-laden drone in the south.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health said, in a statement, that the “Israeli enemy’s raids on southern Lebanon on Monday led to the death of 4 people, including a woman, and the wounding of 51, including 3 children and 6 females.”
Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported today that Israeli raids targeted the eastern towns of Zawtar, Majdal Zoun, Tibnine, and Khirbet Selm in southern Lebanon.
In a related context, the Lebanese News Agency reported that the Israeli army carried out two bombing operations in the towns of Hanin in the Bint Jbeil district, and Shihin in the Tyre district.
It also launched air strikes on the towns and regions of: Majdal Zoun and the area between the towns of Qana and Siddiqin in the Tyre district, and Hadada, Baraashit and Haris in the Bint Jbeil district, according to the agency.
It indicated that Israeli artillery intermittently bombed the Alman-Shamriya area in the Nabatieh District.
The Israeli army announced a warning to the residents of a number of villages and towns in the Bint Jbeil district, calling on them to move towards the Sidon district.
He explained that the warning includes the towns of Al-Ghandouriyah, Burj Al-Qaliyeh, Jammijmeh, Safad Al-Battikh, Bara’shit, Shaqra, Ayta Al-Jabal, Tibnine, Al-Sultaniyeh, Bir Al-Sanasil, Donin, Khirbet Salm, Sela’a, and Deir Kifa.
The Israeli army also renewed its call to the residents of southern Lebanon not to return to the areas south of the Litani River.

Violent attacks
On the other hand, the Israeli army said – in a statement – that it launched air attacks, on Monday, on the Bekaa region (east) and in southern Lebanon, claiming that they affected more than 20 Hezbollah infrastructure.
These allegations come at a time when Ministry of Health data confirmed that there were civilian casualties, including children and women, as a result of the Israeli bombing of southern Lebanon.
In the Bekaa, the army claimed that it targeted a site used to produce weapons and store stocks of weapons belonging to the Hezbollah organization and other storage sites for weapons.
As for southern Lebanon, the Israeli army spokesman said that the army targeted a number of weapons stores, military buildings, and missile launchers. It also found hundreds of weapons, including machine guns, Kalashnikov-type rifles, hand grenades, mines, pistols, anti-armor missiles, and mortar shells.
He added, “More than 1,000 infrastructures used by Hezbollah members to carry out terrorist plans against our forces were destroyed.”

Israeli confusion
The Israeli army announced that one soldier was seriously injured and another was slightly injured yesterday, as a result of the fall of a bomb-laden drone during a military operation in southern Lebanon.
Israeli Army Radio said that explosive drones pose a challenge to forces in southern Lebanon amid daily Hezbollah attacks.
She added that the commanders of army units in southern Lebanon are deeply frustrated by the lack of tools available to deal with the threat of drones.
In another event, the Israeli army claimed in a statement that it intercepted a suspicious air target, which was spotted in the area where Israeli army forces operate in southern Lebanon, pointing out that the results of the interception are under examination.
These data come without independent reports on the number of dead and wounded in the Israeli army, as Tel Aviv imposes strict censorship and a major blackout on its real losses as a result of Hezbollah attacks, which suggests that the toll may be higher than the announced numbers.
Israel continues its attacks on Lebanon as part of violations of the truce, despite US President Donald Trump’s announcement, last week, of preventing Israel from carrying out air attacks on Lebanon.
On April 17, Trump announced a truce in Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah for a period of 10 days, subject to renewal, before announcing, on Thursday, its extension for an additional 3 weeks.
Before the truce, on March 2, Israel began an aggression against Lebanon, which as of Sunday resulted in 2,509 deaths, 7,755 injuries, and more than 1.6 million displaced people, according to the latest official data.
