The number of foreign players was kept at 4, provided that they prove their actual international participation in at least 5 official matches with a national team (first, Olympic, and/or U-20) during the last three years (2024, 2025, and 2026) that precede their joining.

The Algerian Federation revealed that the summer transfer period was set for the period from July 1 to August 31, with the official start of the 2026-2027 season on Thursday, August 20.

On the other hand, the Federation did not announce the end date of the current season, merely referring to measures taken to manage the postponed matches in accordance with the amendment to the calendar, without revealing their content.

Mouloudia Algiers, the defending champion in the last two editions, leads the league table with 58 points, 11 points behind JS Saoura, its direct rival, three rounds before the end of the season, but with a postponed match remaining for both of them.
