Liverpool coach Arne Slot raised the mystery about the injury of the team’s star Mohamed Salah during the match against Crystal Palace, today, Saturday, in the English Premier League.

Slott said via the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC): “What happened to Salah is part of our story this season, a new win, and a new injury, but it is too early to determine the severity of the injury, but we all know Salah and that his departure from the field only happens for a difficult reason.”

The Dutch coach added: “Salah leaving the field is an indication of something, and we will wait to find out the seriousness of the injury.”

Salah left the field after 59 minutes due to an injury to his left posterior muscle, and was replaced by Dutchman Jeremy Frimpong while Liverpool led 2-0.

Slott touched on the 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace, saying: “The match was tense because of the opponent’s goal. I don’t think we deserved to concede a goal in this way, and Crystal Palace was holding on despite the result of the match at the time.”

He asked: “Is there a match for us in which we do not talk about a refereeing controversy?”

He pointed out: “We have previously been exposed to similar situations where the opponent continued the match while one of our players fell. McAllister fell to the ground and needed five stitches, but the Manchester United players continued playing. I do not blame them, but the referee had to stop the play.”

He continued: “Pretending to be injured will become a ploy to stop play. This happened four times during today’s match, and as for Muñoz, the Crystal Palace player, in other cases play stops and other cases are recorded.”

Arne Slott concluded: “I will not blame Muñoz as much as I blame the referee.”

Crystal Palace scored its only goal while Liverpool goalkeeper Freddie Woodman fell to the ground due to a knee injury, which sparked objections from Liverpool and Slot players, but the goal was awarded.
