After missing the match ball yesterday, the gold was secured today after 5–2 at home in Eslövshallen and a total of 2–1 in matches.
The gold is the association’s 16th on the men’s side and the team consists of Truls Möregårdh, Vladislav Ursu, Shoma Nishihara, Alex Naumi and Martin Friis.
– We are a winning club and the community in the team is absolutely incredible. There will probably be some champagne sprayed afterwards. The plan is for us to cross the strait and celebrate. Nightlife in Copenhagen is much better than in Stockholm and Malmö, says Friis to SVT Sport.
Truls Möregårdh, whose monster suite with 102 consecutive winning games was broken yesterdaybounced back and was one of the gold heroes.
