A Swedish man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being beaten at a World Cup event in Copenhagen on Tuesday. Now a suspected perpetrator has been arrested, the Copenhagen police state on their website.
The suspect turned himself in after the police published a picture of him.
The incident occurred in connection with the round of 16 final between Norway and the Ivory Coast being shown on a large screen in the Islands Brygge district. Later in the evening, Sweden’s match against France was to be shown.
A fight ensued and a Swedish man in his 30s was seriously injured and taken to Rigshospitalet.
