Djurgårdens IF has presented a signing.
Daryl Tschoumy-Nana, 19, is ready for the club.
He comes from the German VFL Bochum’s academy.
The centre-back is described by Djurgården as physically strong and he has already made his first visit to the club’s training facility Kaknäs.
– It feels fantastic to sign for Djurgården, says Daryl Tschoumy-Nana to Djurgården homepage.
Tschoumy-Nana has belonged to VFL Bochum since he was 13 and most recently came from the club’s P19 team. He has previously played as a midfielder and striker but was retrained as a centre-back in Bochum.
– I haven’t had time to see much of Stockholm yet, but I have friends who usually go here on holiday and they have told me that it is a very beautiful city, which matches well with the little I have seen so far, says Tschoumy-Nana.
“We are very happy”
He will do his first training session with his new teammates on Friday. The contract extends over 2030.
– We are very happy and enthusiastic about having contracted Daryl Tschoumy-Nana. A tall and physically robust centre-back who is an exceptional threat in set-piece situations, which he has shown frequently during his youth career with goals via corners, free kicks and even penalty kicks, says Djurgården’s football manager Maximilian Hahn.
Djurgården is eighth in the Allsvenskan with one or two games played less than the other teams.
On Monday, the team goes to Hisingen to visit Häcken in the restart of the Allsvenskan.
