The Egyptian national team has officially clinched the qualification ticket to the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, before playing its expected confrontation against the Iranian national team in the third and final round of the group stage.
This historic achievement came after the results of the other groups gave the “Pharaohs” the advantage, as the digital calculations confirmed that Egypt’s score (4 points) places it among the list of the best teams that occupied third place, which guarantees it a place in the knockout rounds regardless of the result of today’s match.
Egypt is ahead of South Korea, Scotland, Uruguay and Senegal, which occupy third place at the end of their matches in the group stage, which means that even if Egypt loses and the “Pharaohs” occupy third place in the seventh group, their current balance is sufficient to place them in the next round.
