The heat wave in Europe is driving temperatures to record levels in many places. In Denmark, the night was the warmest June night on record.

It has been a tropical night in large parts of Denmark with unusually high temperatures, reports Danmarks Radio. This means that the temperature does not drop below 20 degrees throughout the night.

At Fanø in southwestern Jutland, the temperature was as low as 22.5 degrees during the night, making it the warmest June night recorded in Danish measurements since they began in 1874.
