The Iranian Revolutionary Guard states that it attacked American targets in response to US airstrikes against the country, state Iranian media reports according to AFP.
The US strikes on Friday targeted weapons depots and radar stations in Iran and are said to have been retaliation for Thursday’s attack on a ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
On the night of Saturday, Swedish time, US Vice President JD Vance warned Iran that the country will be subjected to “violence” if they carry out new attacks.
“If they have objections to how the memorandum of understanding is applied, they can call us. But violence will be met with violence,” he writes in a post on X.
