Moroccan coach Mohamed Wehbe protected his team player Sofiane Rahimi from being exposed to a yellow card while celebrating his goal against Haiti in the third round of the 2026 World Cup.
Rahimi scored Morocco’s third goal in the match around the 78th minute, while the result indicated a 2-2 draw between the two teams.

Rahimi took advantage of a dropped ball deep into the Haitian defense, shooting it powerfully and announcing that Morocco had scored the third goal.
After the goal, Rahimi ran and celebrated very enthusiastically, then he almost took off his shirt to celebrate, while coach Wehbe was joining in the celebration from the bench. When he found that the player was going to behave that would cost him a yellow card, he nodded to him, refusing to do what he was doing, so Rahimi retreated and continued his celebration by falling on the floor of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The match ended with Morocco’s victory over Haiti 4-2, allowing the Lions to qualify for the second round as runner-up in their group, which was topped by the Brazilian team, which in turn won in the third round over its Scottish counterpart 3-0.
