Ran over cameraman – was warned
Luis Diaz didn’t just become a goalscorer and match winner.
The speedy winger was also involved in a fatal incident.
Just over half an hour into the match, he stormed forward on the left wing. He just managed to poke the ball past Uzbekistan’s star defender Abdukodir Khusanov, who brought down both Diaz and a cameraman standing near the touchline.
The entire collision was broadcast live on television – from the perspective of the cameraman.
The cap flew off and the unfortunate grinned evilly as he, lying on the ground, was helped by officials afterwards.
Khusanov – a regular at Manchester City – received a yellow card for the challenge.
