After 30 years in the shadows, Trustorhärvan’s mastermind Joachim Posener steps forward in a new Netflix documentary.
“The most requested interview has been missing until now,” says the director in a press release.
In the spring of 1997, five people bought the investment company Trustee. On paper everything looked correct, but three months later everything exploded and one of Sweden’s biggest eco-crimes was a fact.
The mastermind behind the coup, Joachim Posenerdisappeared without a trace and has eluded both Interpol and the Swedish police for three decades.
Now the documentary film director has Karin of Klintberg found him.
– For two years, I have met Joachim Posener in rather secret ways and heard his version of the story, she says in a statement via Netflix.
She calls the interview the missing piece of the puzzle after books, TV series and countless headlines about Trustor.
The producer Teresa Alldén describes the people in the tangle as full of myths and difficult to flirt with.
“It was much faster to complete the Trustor deal than to get the main characters to appear in the film,” she says, according to Netflix.
The documentary about the Trustor scandal will have its global premiere on Netflix on August 5.
