Thai Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol, the king’s eldest daughter, has died, the Thai court says.
The princess suffered from an infection in her abdomen and has been in a coma for just over three years. She was known in the country as “Princess Bha” and was the only child from King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s (regent name Rama X) first marriage.
The court states in a statement that her “condition continued to deteriorate” and that she “passed away peacefully”.
The princess was 47 years old.
