Two gold and one silver.

Skiing star Frida Karlsson stood for matchless Olympic efforts – and is awarded the Victoria prize.

“The Olympics in Milan Cortina was a dream come true for me,” she says.

The 26-year-old competed sparingly before the winter games, but showed in the first race, the 20 km skiathlon, that he was in top form. She won by a landslide. Then followed another gold, 10 km freestyle, and silver in the relay.

Now the skier receives the Victoria prize in 2026.

“Her achievements in the Olympics have not only resulted in victories and medals, but also created moments that engaged and touched the Swedish people. She is a very worthy recipient,” says Stephan Rimér, responsible for the Victoria Days.

Karlsson:

“Getting the Victoria prize feels incredibly big and full of glory.”

The prize is awarded by Crown Princess Victoria during Victoria Day in Borgholm on 14 July.
