Argentina is to expand the search for hantavirus-carrying rodents to Mendoza province as part of the investigation into the deadly outbreak on a cruise ship in April, the country’s health ministry said.
The extended investigation will take place June 8-12 and will be carried out after investigations in the Land of Fire, where the cruise ship left port.
The destination was Cape Verde, but the trip was canceled after three passengers died after an outbreak of the hantavirus.
