Real Madrid’s television channel continues its severe attack on the referees, and its intensity has increased in an unprecedented manner in the past few days, coinciding with its team approaching losing the Spanish League title.
Last Friday, Real Madrid dropped two new points by tying with host Real Betis 1-1 in the match that took place at La Cartuja Stadium in the 32nd round of La Liga, and witnessed a refereeing controversy that harmed the royal team, according to what its television channel saw.

Real Madrid channel attacks the referee
During the match, Real Madrid demanded a penalty kick after a handball on Betis player Ricardo Rodriguez in the 23rd minute, but the arena referee Cesar Soto Grado ordered the game to continue at a time when his assistant in the video room, Pablo Gonzalez Fuertes, saw that it did not deserve the penalty.
Real Madrid TV repeated this shot about 245 times in its analysis after the match, which is unprecedented, according to what the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported.
The newspaper commented: “It seems that the handball shot inside the Betis area was worthy of a record.”
In one of its main programs, the channel launched a violent attack on the arbitration system, and also targeted the President of the Spanish Federation, Rafael Lauzan, and the President of the Spanish League, Javier Tebas.
Negrera case
She also renewed her attack on Barcelona because of the “Negrira” issue, and even went further, by criticizing the media in an attempt to justify a season in which her team was close to leaving without major titles for the second time in a row.
The newspaper said: “The Real Madrid channel attacked everyone without exception, while it continued to replay the excessively controversial shot,” noting that it ignored a possible handball on Brahim Diaz inside the Real Madrid penalty area at the beginning of the match, and even justified it by saying, “His hand was attached to the body and the ball hit part of the shoulder.”
Real Madrid Channel had warned its viewers during the program that they would “get bored of watching the Real Betis player’s handball,” which is what happened by showing the clip nearly 250 times.

During the program, the channel broadcast the press conference of Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa, in which he complained about the refereeing performance after the draw with Real Betis.
Arbeloa said about Ricardo Rodriguez’s handball: “For me, it is a very clear penalty kick. His hand was open and was not attached to the body. It is a very clear shot.”
The channel followed Arbeloa’s approach, analyzing the shot by saying, “It is a crystal clear penalty kick that does not require any explanation. The video referee should have reviewed it. Once again, it is being tampered with. It is a clear theft.”
Real Madrid occupies second place in the La Liga standings with 74 points, 11 points behind Barcelona, 5 rounds before the end.
