In light of the escalation in the pace of systematic violations, the occupied Palestinian territories witnessed at dawn on Sunday a series of bloody attacks carried out by the occupation forces.
The official Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that a couple was injured during the occupation forces’ storming of the village of Duma, south of Nablus.
Sources in the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that its crews dealt with the injury of a young man (27 years old) with live bullets in the thigh, and his wife (28 years old) with bullet fragments in the face, and they were taken to the hospital to receive treatment.
According to security sources, the two injuries occurred after the occupation forces stormed the home of the Dawabsha family in the village, where they fired live bullets inside it, wounding two family members, in addition to causing damage and vandalizing the contents of the house.
At the same time, the Israeli occupation forces arrested a girl from the city of Nablus, after raiding and searching her family’s home on Sufyan Street, and tampering with its contents, according to the agency.
In Bethlehem, on Sunday, the Israeli occupation forces closed a number of roads with dirt barriers, in the town of Tuqu, south of the city.
Security sources reported to “Wafa” that the occupation forces closed the entrances to Khirbet al-Deir, in addition to other entrances to the center of the town, with dirt barriers, which restricts the movement of Palestinians and makes it difficult to reach the center of Bethlehem.

Land drain approach
The attacks were not limited to people, but the hand of sabotage extended to the lifeline of the Palestinians, as last night, settlers cut down hundreds of olive trees in the lands of the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that a number of settlers from the “Adi Ad” settlement, established on the town’s lands, cut down about 400 olive trees in the town’s plain.
A few days ago, settlers burned a house and a vehicle in the same town.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation soldiers and settlers carried out the attack A total of 1,819 attacks during last March, in continuation of the systematic terrorism practiced by the occupying state against the Palestinian people, their lands, and their property.
The Commission explained that the occupation army carried out 1,322 attacks, while the settlers carried out 497 attacks, indicating that these attacks were mainly concentrated in the Hebron governorates with 321 attacks, Nablus with 315, then Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 292, and Jerusalem with 203, in a clear indication of the intensity of systematic targeting of these areas.
Systematic escalation
In conjunction with the Palestinian local elections, yesterday, Saturday, the Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank in multiple ways.
Anti-settlement activist Arif Jaber said, “The occupation forces escalated their repressive measures against the people in the Jaber, Al-Salaymeh, and Wadi Al-Hussein neighborhoods, east of the city of Hebron in the southern West Bank, and imposed a curfew on them.”
He pointed out that “citizens were prevented from standing at the doors or windows of their homes, or on their roofs, and a number of citizens were detained who were outside the area and were prevented from reaching their homes.”
In a related context, settlers attacked a house in the town of Qasra, south of Nablus, in the north of the West Bank.
Local sources reported that settlers attacked the home of citizen Youssef Abdel Salam in the Ras al-Ain area of Qusra town, surrounded the family inside, and cut off the electricity supply.
The Palestinian News Agency also reported, citing local sources, that Khirbet “Yarza,” east of the city of Tubas, in the northern West Bank, was excluded from the 2026 Palestinian local body elections, in light of the escalation of settler attacks that led to no candidates running for the village council.
The West Bank has witnessed an escalation in attacks by settlers and the Israeli army since October 2023, which led to the death of at least 1,153 Palestinians and the injury of thousands, in addition to the arrest of nearly 22,000, according to official Palestinian data.
