The man who was shot in the leg by the police on Tuesday is suspected of several crimes, including attempted murder. Before the arrest, he chased several people with a sharp object in a residential area in Svalöv.
The man is suspected of several cases of serious threat to an official as well as serious crime against the Knife Act, serious illegal threats and attempted murder, the police write on their website.
The police opened fire on the man, who was hit in the leg. He was taken to hospital.
As the police opened fire, the incident will be investigated by the police’s Special Investigations Unit.
