The Revolutionary Guard in Iran claims to have stopped a separatist group from carrying out “sabotage and terrorist acts” against the country, Al Jazeera reports.
Members of the separatist group are said to have entered Iran via a border area in the northwest but were stopped by Iranian authorities. Six people have been killed, according to the regime-loyal news agency Tasnim.
Details of the alleged operation are scarce and it is unclear which movement the individuals belonged to.
